This is an informal group with varied levels of expertise so you don't need to be an expert to join us. We use a range of equipment including DSLRs, pocket cameras, tablets and phones. We may get into some ‘techie’ stuff but nothing too challenging.
We also alternate between outings and inside photo shoots with screenings to appreciate and critique our photos.
There are no rules regarding subject matter and we decide what and where to photograph on a random basis. It may be a trip to the waterside, an evening of sunsets or indoors for portraits or still life. Anything goes (within reason).

Our group regularly sets a topic of the month and leave us to our own devices.
The topic of textures was chosen earlier this year and this is just one of the resulting pictures.

We recently got out of town and had a stroll around Wivenhoe. A bit of a grey day for photography but some of the results can be seen below. Best viewed by clicking each picture for full screen.
One of our more ambitious projects last year was an exhibition in the library of 50 mounted prints covering a multitude of subjects. This proved very popular and we were asked to leave in place for an extra month.
